The Spirit of the Fourth festivities take place throughout the day at various venues in our community.  The Community Fair is held at Webb Park, off Bernardo Center Drive near Webb Lake.  Click here for park information and click here for details directions to the event venue.

  • 9:00 a.m. The Community Fair officially opens and the Motor Show will be ready for you to enjoy.
  • 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The Larry Himmel Patriotic Pet Contest, presented by the Rancho Bernardo Community Council (registration starts at 8:30 and must be completed before judging begins)
  • 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - Veteran's Memorial Service
  • 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. - TJ Magic Show
  • 12:30 p.m. Giminny Kids Performance
  • 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. - Time for lunch from one of the vendor booths/trucks
  • 1:30 p.m. - RBBA's Annual Bob Wells Rubber Ducky Race (Purchase your rubber ducky before the race begins!)

      The Spirit of the Fourth Community Fair is a fun and exciting family event in beautiful Webb Lake Park. Our Honorary Mayor, Tracy Garza, will officially open the fair at 9:00 a.m. followed by our National Anthem sung by John Vincent. Come early and enjoy a hot cup of coffee and pastries and return to the stage area for the Annual Larry Himmel Patriotic Pet Contest. Bring your favorite pet dressed in their best patriotic attire. The Community Fair offers an array of food vendors, food trucks, drinks, handicrafts and other items. Children and adults will enjoy the TJ Magic Show following the Veteran's Memorial Ceremony and a performance by Gyminny Kids. Enjoy snow cones and other tasty treats while wandering through the Wheels of Freedom auto show with over 120 classic cars on display. Be sure to stop by the RBBA's Rubber Ducky booth to buy your rubber ducky for the Annual Bob Wells Rubber Ducky Race in Webb Lake. An assortment of delicious and tantalizing food including hot dogs and BBQ will be available from our food vendors and food trucks, so be sure to have a great lunch before getting in place for the Spirit of the Fourth Parade.

        Any organization wishing to have a booth at the Community Fair should download the form here This is a "Fillable Form" which can be filled in on-line, printed out and mailed in after a signature..

      Wheels of Freedom Classic Motor Show - The car show opens at 9 a.m., so if you enjoy classic cars, this is the show for you. Over 100 vehicles will be displayed at the show, organized and hosted by the Poway Cruisers.

      Stage Entertainment - Enjoy entertainment and demonstrations throughout the day:

      9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. - Patriotic Pet Contest

      11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. - TJ Magic Show

      12:30 p.m. - Gyminny Kids Performance

      1:30 p.m. - Annual Bob Wells Memorial Rubber Ducky Race

      Patriotic Pet Contest - Dress your pet in their favorite red, white & blue ensemble and enter them in the Patriotic Pet Contest, sponsored by the Rancho Bernardo Community Council (www.rbcommunitycouncil.com). The event will take place on the stage from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Check in at 9:00 a.m. with your pet in costume and on leash.  Prizes will be  awarded.

      Veterans Memorial Service - A 45-minute patriotic memorial ceremony will be held at 10:45 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial in Webb Park, honoring the veterans of all services.

      Other Highlights include  a Quilt Exhibit at the Courtyard Marriott by local quilters supporting "Quilts of Valor".  The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover Service Members and Veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.

      Don't forgot to stay for the Parade at 3:30 p.m. and then cap your night with the evening entertainment and fireworks at Bernardo Heights Middle School.
